The Charcuterie Class

Do you get mesmerized by reels of beautiful meat and cheese boards? Are you wondering if shark-coochie is really the way to pronounce it? Or, have you already mastered a salami rose, but know that you could be eating better meat with your Friday night wine?  Wherever you fall on the board building spectrum, The Charcuterie Class is for you!

The Charcuterie Class is a fun, accessible dive into the wonderful world of cured meats and beautiful, edible creations. After we learn what exactly charcuterie is (and how to pronounce it), we’ll talk about how to find better meats for your board and the other delicious elements that you can arrange on it. We’ll then walk you step by step through hands-on board building fun, ending up with charcuterie boards that are Instagram-ready. Finally, before leaving you to devour your delicious board, we’ll do some tasting and talk about how to prepare for your new role as the badass board builder

At the end The Charcuterie Class, you’ll walk away with:

  • Essential information about how charcuterie is made, the ethical, environmental, and societal issues surrounding its production, and how to buy products that align with your values

  • Practical techniques for building a beautiful board every time

  • A freshly-made charcuterie board ready for you to enjoy after your class

  • A list of charcuterie producers that you can support for future boards

  • Bragging rights because you can now make pro-level boards, which is very impressive

This is a VIRTUAL class hosted over Zoom, open to anyone anywhere. We encourage you to join with friends and make an event out of it! Tickets are per computer screen.

You get to choose your own charcuterie board elements, but don’t worry we provide guidance on where to shop, what to get, and even how much to get. This is also a great time to unearth those jams and pickles from the farmers market that you swore you were going to eat all the time….

We hope to see you there!
